Kevin Wilson graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 1993. He attended the University of Georgia School of Law (UGA) from 1993 to 1996, where he was a member of the Order of Barristers and served as the Executive Notes Editor of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. Kevin authored the published Note: “And Stay Out! The Dangers of Using Anti-Immigrant Sentiment as a Basis for Social Policy: America Should Take Heed of Disturbing Lessons from Great Britain’s Past,” and he served as the Vice President of the Black Law Students Association. He was also an American Bar Association (ABA) regional champion with UGA’s Moot Court team and a top ten oral advocate at the ABA National Moot Court Competition.

After graduating from law school, Kevin joined Alston & Bird in Atlanta for four years as an Associate with the firm’s Trial and Appellate Practice and Products Liability teams. He then turned to public service and became a Staff Attorney with Georgia’s Appellate Courts, where he spent five years with the Honorable M. Yvette Miller of the Georgia Court of Appeals and fifteen years with Chief Justice Harold D. Melton of the Georgia Supreme Court. When Chief Justice Melton retired from the Court in July 2021, Kevin remained with the Supreme Court and joined the Office of Bar Admissions, where he now serves as Assistant Director.
